What’s really different about this book is that the most important lessons to be learned are actually in the introduction and chapter one. If, after reading those two chapters, your mindset isn’t geared correctly based on the criteria, then it’s probably best not to even start the process of working for yourself. For instance, his list of 10 excuses people usually utter as to why they feel they can’t go into business for themselves is illuminating right from the beginning, and later he mentions that one shouldn’t wait for all the lights to turn green before pulling the trigger. He uses Microsoft as the perfect example of that philosophy; we all have experience with that.

Kiyosaki loves the number ten, obviously, because he then lists 10 reasons people need to consider before they actually transition from employee to entrepreneur. Those things are:

1. Ability to change philosophy from security to freedom

2. Ability to operate without money

3. Ability to operate without security

4. Ability to focus on opportunity rather than resources

5. Having different management styles to manage different people

6. Ability to manage people and resources they do not control

7. Team and value oriented rather than pay or promotion oriented

8. Active learner – no graduation day

9. Generalized education rather than specialized

10. The courage to be responsible for the entire business

And, the book is subtitled 10 Real-Life Lessons Every Entrepreneur Should Know About Building Multimillion-Dollar Business, which is the heading for the ten chapters in the book. He actually calls the first nine Sharon’s Insights, named after the person he wrote the book with, Sharon Lechter, with whom he co-founded the Rich Dad Organization.

There is a lot one can get from this book. For instance, he has his five jobs every entrepreneur needs to have covered; he has his three biggest mistakes most independent business owners make; he has the six ways an entrepreneur can raise money; on and on. He talks about the Cash Flow Quadrant, which is also another book of his, and I’ll admit that I’ve never quite gotten a hold of the principles of that. One thing I thought was interesting was the transition process that most people go through when they’re transitioning from an employee to an entrepreneur. There’s stage one, you become unhappy as an employee with 13 steps; stage 2, overcome the fear of getting started with 14 steps; and stage 3, just start, with 10.

In the last chapter, near the end of the book, he offers ten tips, with explanations, of what people should do before they quit their jobs. Truthfully, if you only had time to read the introduction, chapter one, and chapter ten, you’d learn a lot. There’s so much information in Before You Quit Your Job that what I’ve shared here is really just scraping the barrel. There are many stories in here, and, after I came to grips with the fact that it wasn’t going to be Rich Dad, then I was open to learning some of the things he said in this one, even though I had already become an entrepreneur of sorts. This is a must read book for anyone thinking about, or who already is, an entrepreneur.

The Rich Jerk is one the most well-known infopreneurs in internet history. To be honest he’s a complete asshole, but he doesn’t care, he knows it. His slogan is simply put, “I’m Better Than You”. Whether or not that is true is of no consequence. It’s actually what helped make his site so popular and he really knows his stuff.

Most people would assume The Rich Jerk was born that way (rich… maybe he’s always been a jerk though), or just got lucky but that’s far from the truth. Kelly Felix’ life was a struggle back in the 1990’s while attempting to make money by all means possible. Word on the street is that he also had a short career in acting with a very brief appearance on an episode of 7th Heaven. But it wasn’t until the late nineties that he struck it rich when he racked in somewhere in the neighborhood of $55,000/mo from just one site.

I can only assume that somewhere around that time is when Kelly Felix became The Rich Jerk. The products he’s sold online over the years have taught thousands of people, including yours truly, how to make money online fast and as easy as possible. His “Don’t Waste My Time… I’m Filthy Rich” attitude along with his sometimes unconventional strategies marked a strong paradigm shift in the online marketing arenas.

The Rich Jerk - The site that started it all!

I first heard of heard of the Rich Jerk a few years ago. I was just learning the ropes of internet marketing and knew nada about how to make money doing it. In fact, it wasn’t until recently that I figured that out and that’s after I decided (way too many years late) that I should see what this Jerk had to offer. Using just one of his strategies up’d my site traffic over 2000% practically overnight.

After implementing that one strategy, I must admit that I was still a skeptic. I’ve read countless ebooks from supposed “gurus” filled with hype and fluff so it’s expected. But in implementing that single strategy I made my very first piece of income from marketing on the internet. Ever. From there I started implementing each of The Rich Jerk strategies and the results are amazing.

The Rich Jerk covers many different strategies to earn money online. His manual includes selling on eBay, affiliate marketing, making money with Google Adsense, and also generating your own products. But that’s not all. The Rich Jerk also explains how to do all these things better than competition.

What’s the best Rich Jerk feature?

A lot of people would agree that the best feature that The Rich Jerk offers is the forum. And I’d agree that it’s an amazing wealth of information and great people there to help you get your marketing rolling. But for me the best thing about the Rich Jerk is it’s complete lack of fluff, filler and BS. The Rich Jerk lives up to his “Don’t Waste My Time” mantra by providing straight-forward strategies with detailed easy to implement instructions and examples. It’s almost like painting by numbers. Anything that you don’t understand or may need help with can be found in that forum we all rave about.

The Rich Jerk ebook is an overview of various ways to make money online but that’s the point. No extra crap to distract from simply following the instructions. Hell, the ebook along with the forum are the perfect tandem for anyone who is serious about making money online.

What could The Rich Jerk do better?

The only issue I can think of with The Rich Jerk is probably the lack of regular updates. Fortunately, the program is so unconventional that none of the strategies are the least bit dated. If there’s anything you can’t grasp, you can always post in the forum and have one of the many people there point you in the right direction. Don’t worry they’re not all Jerks.

My Recommendation

Recently The Rich Jerk dropped his prices (again) from $15 to $9.95. So I’d recommend that you take advantage of this before the price goes back up! Trust me.

The Rich Jerk is priced very inexpensively at less that ten bucks, and it’s still worth every cent.

The Rich Jerk used to charge $150 for his strategies, but it has dropped considerably. This isn’t the first time it’s cost only $9.95 but then it rose to $37, so don’t expect it to stay at this price for too much longer.

I recommend reading The Rich Jerk. It offers high-quality information and is perfectly priced for anyone wanting to try it out without breaking the bank. If it’s not what you expected then you always have the money back guarantee to fall back on. If it is then you’re well on your way to making thousands of dollars sooner rather than later.

Summary

I’d recommend The Rich Jerk to friends, family, and anyone else who’s looking to get into internet marketing. As long as you are willing to put in a little bit of work, The Rich Jerk is, in my opinion, one of the best online marketing guides ever.

Remember; after implementing just one stategy from RJ’s guide my traffic skyrocketed over 2000% practically overnight! The writing is on the wall, The Rich Jerk’s strategies work.

For less than ten bucks you have nothing to lose.

Get your copy of The Rich Jerk now.

In Closing.

The Rich Jerk is a great read for anyone looking to earn a living online. All it takes is the ability to take action. There are countless people out there searching for success as an entrepreneur, and if you’re willing to learn new skills then The Rich Jerk is definitely for you. Not only is it one of the least expensive programs online, it’s also backed by a full money back guarantee.

I highly recommend The Rich Jerk and owe my success to him. Visit The Rich Jerk Website

I was recently reading Steve Pavlina’s: 10 Reasons You Should Never Get a Job and noticed that this guy know’s the the hell he’s talking about. For this, I feel that it’s very important that I share his article with you just in case you might think like I used to. I too believed that security came with working that “9-5″ and hustling my ass off hoping for a minuscule raise. Sounds familiar right?

When I decided to start Circle One Communications, LLC in January 2008 I knew I was taking on a major risk. I also knew that most people wouldn’t understand. Steve along with other successful online marketers seemed to be the only people who understood my downright disdain for being a sheep in a work force that taxed the employee for the benefit of corporate profits. I can relate to the employee mentality for maintaining stability but at the same time…

Not going for what you know is suicide to the soul.

I’m an entrepreneur.

My soul says so and I listened. It’s kicked my ass but I must keep going and here are a few reasons why you should too. Trust me, the rewards come with pushing forward no matter what.

[This post has been edited in respect of Steve Pavlina's copyrights. To read the entire article use the link at the bottom of this post. For now enjoy my top 5 favorite Reasons You Should Never Get a Job. Thanks Steve. You're truly one of my mentors.]

10 Reasons You Should Never Get a Job

1. Income for dummies.

“Getting a job and trading your time for money may seem like a good idea. There’s only one problem with it. It’s stupid! It’s the stupidest way you can possibly generate income! This is truly income for dummies.

Why is getting a job so dumb? Because you only get paid when you’re working. Don’t you see a problem with that, or have you been so thoroughly brainwashed into thinking it’s reasonable and intelligent to only earn income when you’re working? Have you never considered that it might be better to be paid even when you’re not working? Who taught you that you could only earn income while working? Some other brainwashed employee perhaps?

Don’t you think your life would be much easier if you got paid while you were eating, sleeping, and playing with the kids too? Why not get paid 24/7? Get paid whether you work or not. Don’t your plants grow even when you aren’t tending to them? Why not your bank account?

Who cares how many hours you work? Only a handful of people on this entire planet care how much time you spend at the office. Most of us won’t even notice whether you work 6 hours a week or 60. But if you have something of value to provide that matters to us, a number of us will be happy to pull out our wallets and pay you for it. We don’t care about your time — we only care enough to pay for the value we receive. Do you really care how long it took me to write this article? Would you pay me twice as much if it took me 6 hours vs. only 3?

Non-dummies often start out on the traditional income for dummies path. So don’t feel bad if you’re just now realizing you’ve been suckered. Non-dummies eventually realize that trading time for money is indeed extremely dumb and that there must be a better way. And of course there is a better way. The key is to de-couple your value from your time.

Smart people build systems that generate income 24/7, especially passive income. This can include starting a business, building a web site, becoming an investor, or generating royalty income from creative work. The system delivers the ongoing value to people and generates income from it, and once it’s in motion, it runs continuously whether you tend to it or not. From that moment on, the bulk of your time can be invested in increasing your income (by refining your system or spawning new ones) instead of merely maintaining your income…”

This is just so blatantly true. If people put the same initial time & effort into building 24/7 income streams that they do slaving away at a J.O.B. (Just Over Broke), most would certainly earn multiple times their employee earnings in very little time. This can be accomplished online in no time.

3. Lifelong domestication.

“Getting a job is like enrolling in a human domestication program. You learn how to be a good pet.

Look around you. Really look. What do you see? Are these the surroundings of a free human being? Or are you living in a cage for unconscious animals? Have you fallen in love with the color beige?

How’s your obedience training coming along? Does your master reward your good behavior? Do you get disciplined if you fail to obey your master’s commands?

Is there any spark of free will left inside you? Or has your conditioning made you a pet for life?

Humans are not meant to be raised in cages. You poor thing…”

Simply put, earning income as an entrepreneur allows you to break out the cage and stop running in circles so that you can pursue your true life purpose.

5. Way too risky.

“Many employees believe getting a job is the safest and most secure way to support themselves.

Morons.

Social conditioning is amazing. It’s so good it can even make people believe the exact opposite of the truth.

Does putting yourself in a position where someone else can turn off all your income just by saying two words (”You’re fired”) sound like a safe and secure situation to you? Does having only one income stream honestly sound more secure than having 10?

The idea that a job is the most secure way to generate income is just silly. You can’t have security if you don’t have control, and employees have the least control of anyone. If you’re an employee, then your real job title should be professional gambler.”

Face it, we live in 2008. You’re insane to believe that JOB SECURITY still exists. If you do then you’re definitely not paying attention and could probably use a week off to see how people who have freed themselves live.

9. Loss of freedom.

“It takes a lot of effort to tame a human being into an employee. The first thing you have to do is break the human’s independent will. A good way to do this is to give them a weighty policy manual filled with nonsensical rules and regulations. This leads the new employee to become more obedient, fearing that s/he could be disciplined at any minute for something incomprehensible. Thus, the employee will likely conclude it’s safest to simply obey the master’s commands without question. Stir in some office politics for good measure, and we’ve got a freshly minted mind slave.

As part of their obedience training, employees must be taught how to dress, talk, move, and so on. We can’t very well have employees thinking for themselves, now can we? That would ruin everything.

God forbid you should put a plant on your desk when it’s against the company policy. Oh no, it’s the end of the world! Cindy has a plant on her desk! Summon the enforcers! Send Cindy back for another round of sterility training!

Free human beings think such rules and regulations are silly of course. The only policy they need is: “Be smart. Be nice. Do what you love. Have fun.””

Enough said!

10. Becoming a coward.

“Have you noticed that employed people have an almost endless capacity to whine about problems at their companies? But they don’t really want solutions – they just want to vent and make excuses why it’s all someone else’s fault. It’s as if getting a job somehow drains all the free will out of people and turns them into spineless cowards. If you can’t call your boss a jerk now and then without fear of getting fired, you’re no longer free. You’ve become your master’s property.

When you work around cowards all day long, don’t you think it’s going to rub off on you? Of course it will. It’s only a matter of time before you sacrifice the noblest parts of your humanity on the altar of fear: first courage… then honesty… then honor and integrity… and finally your independent will. You sold your humanity for nothing but an illusion. And now your greatest fear is discovering the truth of what you’ve become.

I don’t care how badly you’ve been beaten down. It is never too late to regain your courage. Never!”

This is my personal favorite. Wouldn’t you like to break free from being a “Wage-Slave” and unlock that unlimited potential we’re all born with? To do that is not only liberating, exciting, and insanely rewarding, but also opens up countless possibilities. What’s more important than that?

I almost added a commentary to this piece written by an unknown writer, but… for what? I believe it speaks for itself.

Is Your Jar Full?

When things in your life seem almost to much to handle, when 24 hours in a
day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar……and the beer.

A Professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front
of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and
empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then
asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the Professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas
between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was
full. They agreed it was.

The Professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of
course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar
was full. The students responded with an unanimous “Yes.”

The Professor then produced two cans of beer from under the table and
poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty
space between the sand. The students laughed.

“Now,” said the Professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things - your family, your children, your
health, your friends, your favorite passions - things that if everything
else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house,
your car. The sand is everything else - the small stuff.”

“If you put the sand into the jar first”, he continued, “there is no room
for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all
your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the
things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are
critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get
medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There
will always be time to clean the house, and fix the disposal. Take care of
the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand.”

When he had finished, there was a profound silence. Then one of the
students raised her hand and with a puzzled expression, inquired what the
beer represented.

The Professor smiled. “I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no
matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of
beers.”
